Together, Alliance and WellSpan engineered a fully integrated single sign-on (SSO) connection that allowed patients to log in directly from the main site and view personalized information in a secure, authenticated state without leaving the web experience.

Through this integration, authenticated visitors gained access to their MyChart data directly within the WellSpan website. Patients could securely view upcoming appointments and messages, and much more, all within a single, seamless digital experience.

The results were immediate and measurable. The new experience led to a 20% increase in self-service account creation and a 40% increase in overall engagement, demonstrating the power of thoughtful design paired with technical precision.

Personalization Through Innovation and Privacy

Alliance also introduced a groundbreaking personalization strategy that balanced data-driven insights with strict HIPAA compliance. Leveraging Sitecore Personalize, the team developed a scientific approach to tailoring visitor experiences without exposing protected health information.

Identifiers were hashed and de-identified in accordance with HIPAA’s Safe Harbor method, allowing WellSpan to deliver relevant, context-aware experiences for both anonymous and authenticated users.
