The Challenge

The Port of San Diego's website serves a uniquely broad audience. A specially created district that serves the San Diego region and State of California. Member city residents across Chula Vista, Coronado, Imperial Beach, National City, and San Diego rely on it for information about public programs, environmental initiatives, and waterfront safety and development. Businesses use it to engage with the Port's Blue Economy Incubator, contracting, permitting and leasing opportunities. Visitors look to it for event listings, cruise information, and access points to the San Diego Bay.

Managing a site of this scope and public importance requires more than routine updates. The Port of San Diego needed a partner who could update and proactively maintain a complex Drupal environment with over 200 published pages, 250 FAQs, 150 callouts, and 100+ contributed modules, all hosted on Pantheon with a custom-built theme.
